On September 1st, 2018 Mr Anders Eka was appointed President of the Supreme Court of Sweden.

He has been a Justice of the Supreme Court since 2013 and has been the Head of Division of the Office of the Chancellor of Justice (2000-2003), Senior Judge, Head of Division, at the Stockholm District Court (2003-2004), Director of the Working Committee on Constitutional Reform (2004-2008), Senior Judge of Appeal, Head of Division, Svea Court of Appeal (2009-2010) and Chief Judge at the Stockholm District Court (2010-2013).
