The General Assembly, which convened on Thursday, 9 November 2023 in Vienna, unanimously admitted Ms Jasmina Vasović, President of the Supreme Court of Serbia, as Observer of the Network.
President Vasović began her legal career as a judicial apprentice and served since year 2001 as a judge of first and second instance, sitting primarily criminal cases.
Ms Vasović was also the representative of the Republic of Serbia in the European Judicial Network, member of the Programme Council of the Judicial Academy, mentor, lecturer and trainer at the Judicial Academy. She is the author of several papers published in judicial bulletins.
Ms Vasović was elected President of the Supreme Court by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on 8 April 2021 and assumed office at the General Session of the Supreme Court held on 16 April 2021.
